About Me

I'm a Vanderbilt Computer Science graduate with a Data Science minor, based in San Francisco and focused on full-stack software, applied AI, machine learning, and practical data systems.

My work has ranged from product software at Ongig to independent projects with Next.js, FastAPI, PyTorch, SQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, LLM APIs, and structured output workflows. I like understanding how the layers of a system connect and explaining technical decisions clearly.

I'm currently building full-stack and applied AI projects while pursuing early-career engineering roles in San Francisco.

Journey

A nonlinear path to engineering

  1. Vanderbilt

Studied Computer Science with a Data Science minor, focused on practical software, data systems, and applied ML coursework.

  2. Ongig

Built product software and software features with React, TypeScript, Draft.js, PHP/Laravel, GraphQL, and related web technologies.

  3. Major Hip Surgeries and Return

Two separate major reconstructive right-hip surgeries required medical leaves during my final years at Vanderbilt and interrupted the expected academic and early-career timeline.

  4. Graduation

Returned to Vanderbilt and completed the Computer Science degree in spring 2025. Recovery continued beyond graduation as I prepared for the next stage of my career.

  5. San Francisco and Current Work

Relocated to San Francisco and am now focused on shipping full-stack and applied AI projects while pursuing early-career engineering roles.

Beyond Engineering

Beyond engineering

Baseball, music, movement, and close relationships have each shaped how I spend my time outside engineering. I played competitive baseball through age 19, later taught myself guitar, and continue to care deeply about singing, songwriting, training, hiking, and the people closest to me.

I'm especially interested in the process behind mastery, whether that means refining a song, understanding an athlete's craft, or steadily improving a difficult technical system.
